This is the story of a song, and within the song lies another story.
I wrote this yesterday and decided to document the process. I don’t know why. I guess i was being propelled by something else.
Sleepless nights. Been recording another ZAPO album about that, which i’ll probably finish this week. The seemingly endless battle with my own Shadow. A Sol Niger. Dark nights of the soul.
Re-reading Carl Jung’s Black Books, Red Book and trying to decipher the code. The code to understanding my own self.
Anyway this is how the song started, like all the others do, messing around with some chords, and picking out the melody.

I dedicate this song to my friend Jimmy Morgan, who has returned to the stars too soon. Or perhaps right on time.
